Ask them to intervene in Grandma's situation, and that of other DHS victims.

WALK IN A DEMONSTRATION. The more people that turn out for a demonstration, the better! Just contact us at: admin@savegrandma.org to find out when we'll be picketing again.

SPREAD THE WORD!!! The more people who know about this awful situation, the better. Only through the education of the public, can we ever hope to correct such an injustice.

CANVAS NEIGHBORHOODS. The more people involved in knocking on doors and/or distributing flyers, the more people we can warn about this.

PUT A BANNER OR SIGN ON YOUR CAR!!! If you put a banner or sign with the website, on your car, you are providing a rolling billboard!!! This would be a very helpful way to get the word out...a possible sign idea: "Grandma Imprisoned by State: www.savegrandma.org...WE ALSO HAVE BUMPERSTICKERS...CONTACT US IF YOU WOULD LIKE ONE!

MAKE PHONE CALLS! Sometimes making numerous telephone calls to government officials can have a greater and more immediate impact than emails (doing both would be best). Public opinion is very important in a case like this, so it's very important that people get involved and at least call. Some phone numbers to get you started are:

CALL ASST. POLK COUNTY ATTORNEY JOHN JUDISCH, and ask him to let grandma (MARY STENLUND) go home! You may also want to ask him why he refused to let her have any contact with her family over the EASTER weekend (he won't tell us!) One of her great-grandsons had his first little league game which she has now missed...maybe you can find out why he felt that was necessary...make him understand that it's wrong to build one's career on "trumped up" cases against the elderly! He is supposed to be an "expert" on adult abuse cases...which means, he knows all the tricks in the book for keeping elders locked away from their loved ones, and for criminalizing their families...make sure he understands that you are against this!!!
